A flush came to her cheeks at the compliment to her dress. Mona had spent nearly all her pretty pennies on her attire just to make an impression for such an exciting night. Top it up with wanting to look her best too fired her determination to search out the prefect dress for the occasion. True, her money could have been better spent towards repairs on the Mona Cycle, but not being able to say no on a beautiful dress was too much of a temptation for her. Besides, out of her colorful wardrobe of clothes she owned personally, not a single one was good enough, or extravagant to match prom standards.

"Ah, well you look gorgeous yourself!" It seemed as well Chiyo had a similar taste for nice dresses and clothes to boot. She looked lovely in her blue gown and very much took on the appearance of a mermaid. Yet...something seemed amiss here? Mona glanced over Chiyo's shoulders, looked to either side of the Vaporeon and she stood on her tip toes to look over her friend. Huh. Figured someone like Chiyo would have a date in toe on account of their boy talk.

"Soooo, may I ask? Which one of those men you were eyeing did you bring to prom as your date, hm? Hmmm?" With a wink wink, and a nudge, nudge, she elbowed Chiyo with a hint of tease in her vocal tone. A pretty lady such as Chiyo shouldn't have had a problem snagging some boy for her prom date, right?
