Who was actually at fault hardly mattered at this point - and maybe it was because of the residual emotions from the memories he'd momentarily lived through. The Venusaur knew that the things Char threw at him weren't unfounded, and he knew how deeply he hurt inside. But the Fire Type had been vulnerable - he'd opened up to him, both willingly and unwillingly - and Vinnie had used it against him. Even knowing it was wrong, he couldn't stop himself in time.

"Maybe, but I still have t'fix it somehow," said Vinnie, glancing back to see the concern on her face. It was a mutual mistake, and Char definitely wasn't going to be the one to save things.

Because if he didn't, if this stretched much further beyond the holidays, the Venusaur knew it'd become a much larger problem for him, and for Bulba.
