He didn't mean to make her nervous, then again, he was a large amount taller and larger than her. His robes probably didn't help. He assumed this was the reason. Again, he didn't really mean to come off strong if he did. This woman sounded like a supreme innocent, so he was trying to be as gentle and kind as possible.
