Joel was still getting used to this big campus. His classes were going well enough he supposed. But he was still trying to get home if he could.

He walked back onto school grounds after a morning spent in the woods. His brow was damp with sweat and he stopped at a drinking fountain to get a little fresh water into him. As he ducked his head a second time he happened to spot Edel nearby.

"The heck kinda dog is that?" he muttered to himself. Muttering to himself was getting to be more of a habit than it ever had been before. But he had a lot of questions and no-one to ask most of the time.
