"Five, now." She said, not daring to admit she second guessed her own answer. That was such an astronomically long time for her. Back in her heyday (ha, heyday--she could reflect back on a period of her life and call it a heyday now) she averaged one big, life-threatening life-changing mission a year. It wasn't as though she hasn't had amany amazing adventures here at Smash Academy, some remarkably life-changing, but was this really the life for her? For him? For them?
"I haven't gone senile yet."
Surely no human could keep doing what they did forever, but she didn't feel ready to... retire. Frankly, she was sure she would've been killed by now by a mission than by a slow stagnating old age. The prospect of that being her end was an awful one that turned her stomach.
"Everyone's graduating and growing up..." She breathed, not able to articulate her mixed feelings about her continually surprising longevity here.
