The hinge connecting the two halves snapped, the screen not much more than a dark, cracked mess -- it had been even easier to break than the computer itself.
He didn't bother with disposing of the "body" or double-checking to be sure he'd destroyed it. Neither act was especially worth his time. Satisfied that he'd had his fun, he simply turned and walked away, leaving the broken laptop on the floor of the laundry room.]
