Henry stared at him and then tried to avoid the situation.
Thanks Eirika, geez.
Okay, Henry wasn't thinking like that because he wasn't aware of that line of prose. Henry hummed, and nodded. "Sure! I'll try something, and tell you what I think."
So he watched the table, letting his eyes drift over the different types of sweets. Some of them seemed like he might be able to guess what it was based on what he'd heard about certain confections (he really had an eye for recognition), but others were things he couldn't figure out. Some of them, in fact, might only be items that could be found in a modern setting - hence why someone like Henry couldn't have possibly heard about it.
He settled on something appealing to him: a cream filled pastry with a chocolate icing, topped with whipped cream and a cherry. A standard éclair: but Henry wasn't sure what it was called. He delicately picked one out and bit into it.
"..." With his back turned to Eirika, it was hard to say what his overall feelings were on the dessert. But in truth, Henry was getting the feeling that he wasn't ready for all of these sweet things. After being so used to nothing but dry, tasteless Plegian culinary concoctions, was he prepared for this overwhelming sweetness? It tasted good, but... Almost too good. He became distracted by his own thoughts.
