A couple of dinners? Marie knew about Voile's relationship with Sonny, but she'd neglected to say anything about Seth. Who she had apparently had a "couple of dinners" with. Perhaps it was the fact that Marie couldn't say he'd taken Voile to any dinners at all that made him so jealous to hear that. Or maybe he would have been dissatisfied with Seth's answer no matter how he replied.

When Voile answered, Marie surprisingly met her eyes. Her expression was hard to read, but he kept looking at her as long as she spoke. When she referenced she was helping to design the servers outfits, he couldn't help glancing around the room, though. He looked back at Voile with his eyebrows raised. "I see," he replied curtly. His posture tensed and he continued to bite back uncalled for comments. A very quiet, "Okay," followed an empty pause, and he let his gaze fall away from Voile again.
