reservedempath: (girl - akin to cute)

There were a plethora of thoughts that crossed Voile's mind when Seth interjected in his polite way. Some that centered around how affectionately he addressed her. Most that led her to an internal struggle of what her first response should have been. And some additional ones that made her realise she had no clue Seth knew who Red was, or Red's Pokemon, for that matter.

If I let go of Marie's hands, he might think I'm trying to hide something. If I keep holding onto them, he'll probably get embarrassed. I guess this is a little too public for us to look like anything. Am I supposed to act like... his girlfriend? Does he want me to? Would he rather me be quiet about it?

Way too many questions and not enough answers.

She stared blankly for more than a few moments and while she didn't actually let go of Marie's hands, she held them loosely. He could make the decision on how he wanted them to portray themselves. She didn't much care about public perception and she didn't mind if others saw her with Marie. Everything subtle she'd done had been for his sake because she had been under the impression he preferred it that way.

But she really felt like she had nothing to hide.

Marie, do you want me to tell him to leave? I'm not sure what I should do.

A brief frown - very brief, at that - and her head tilted. Finally she gave a warm smile to Seth, "I didn't know you and Marie had met." She looked over to Marie with what she hoped was encouragement, "Are you two close?"

And she assumed they weren't. Like Voile, Marie didn't live in Seth's world, but between Gardevoir and Wartortle, the former seemed to fit in said world better.
