For a lot of reasons. Seth expected this was going to end in a scuffle one way or another and this room was obviously (as Shadow was proving right now) not as private as he thought. Someone else would surely hear, someone would surely see, and most of all--
"I've put a lot of work into setting up this week's Host Club." He explained slowly, if condescendingly. "Let's just go outside. Walk and talk. Just you and I."
