Byrne himself wasn't exactly sure what their relationship was. If it was a "relationship" of sorts. (He wasn't sure if he wanted such a thing anyway.) But when he saw that smile on her face, he felt good. She looked beautiful already, but that smile really made her absolutely radiant. And maybe it was just Byrne's imagination, but Nabooru looked more beautiful lately, ever since what happened during the power outage.
But he settled into the hot water easily enough, practically melting into his seat, letting the water relax his muscles.
"I figured it was appropriate," he agreed. He focused his gaze on her, admiring what was visible of her figure (though sadly, he couldn't see too much - most of it was obscured by the steamy water.)
But then his eyes drifted slightly to the side, away from her. "I think... we deserve a second chance at enjoying the hot springs." He wouldn't exactly admit whose fault that encounter was, but... that was behind him. He didn't want to think about it, or what that whole conversation had been about.
