He did want to be even more scarce today - as much as possible on a school day, rather - to avoid the fluffy festivities Valentine's Day had to offer. Cute decorations, reds and pinks, chocolates and hearts... It was all so obnoxious. Was this really a holiday shaped solely around showing 'love' by giving gifts? He wasn't about to have any of that.
So he stood, watching as the final student trailed into one of the classes, all before check-marking their name on his clipboard. Good. That was one down, plenty more to go. The hall was mainly empty, leaving him completely out i the open, totally unsuspecting of what was coming:
Thunk.
He jumped, swirling around to find absolutely nothing behind him. Unbeknownst to Shadow, there was a cupid bot hiding behind one of the potted plants, but what he soon realized was the product of its destruction.
That was definitely an arrow in his butt.
"Grr..." He plucked the thing from his now-aching rear, staring at its pointed end, just lightly smeared with the blood from the wound. "What is the meaning of this?"
Oh, but he was soon to find out. In just a minute or so (or maybe even less?), he wasn't going to be so alone anymore.
