"The subject may change. There are some humans who see non-humans as their equals, and vice versa. Yet that does not mean that they view all as their equals. Some view other humans as inferior, and how they view non-humans may have no bearing in that. And likewise with non-humans and their views of each other and humans. Some is inborn, for a variety of purposes. A bird is unlikely to view a bug as equal, because birds feast on bugs. That more natural view is carried over upon sentience. Other life forms, including others of the same species, are viewed with distrust, even while others still are accepted. It is an irrationality of higher beings."
