Noel let out a high pitched squeak when Sonic spoke. His new voice was intimidating, raspy and just plain scary. At first she was too busy dwelling on her fear to let what he actually said sink in, just fighting back tears in her eyes and trying to keep some air of authority even though she was very clearly whimpering.

But after a moment, Sonic's words finally hit her. Noel didn't know how to respond though, other than just staring at him, eyes wide.

"W-What?"

He said he was Sonic, but... this didn't look like any Sonic she'd ever seen before. Human form included. Unlike that form, though, He didn't sound like himself, either. Not really, anyway. Noel couldn't believe it at first but. After what happened with the last case of mistaken identity, she couldn't rule it out either.
