"Candies?" Was Shadow looking for those lollipops here? Sonic considered if he had seen anything colorful and out of placee, but all he could dredge up were the collective efforts of every leaf here setting the forest to a figurative blaze. It was beautiful when the sun went and came again. If not for the situation, he'd be able to appreciate it more.

But being it was autumn, the days were short and the nights dreadfully long. It was a mild comfort in an intense storm.

Sonic carefully escorted the bird with his finger back to the branch, then took a leap down to level with Shadow. He fell within a few feet of him, the impact sweeping leaves across the other's toes. Sonic remained with an easy demeanor, though, for as long as Shadow would keep his place.

"Can't say I've seen any of those suckers here," he reported, crossing his arms to his chest.
