"Then it will only take a second; I promise," Rhys assured her with a smile. He knelt down to check her legs for any visible signs of injury. Immediately he noticed a bright splash of streaked red: a scrape. For a scrape, it was raw and intense, but he couldn't spot anything else on her leg that warranted further review.
"Did you fall down?" he asked, trying to imagine a scenario that might wound her pride. It would have to have been an embarrassing fall.
