Chili knew Pansear was left in his dorm room with Banjo and Kazooie earlier, mostly because he had convinced himself that he'd be right back, and there wasn't any need to tell him where he went off to. That was a silly mistake, and he knew it, in retrospect.
By the time Kazooie and Pansear entered the infirmary to see him, he'd been sitting back with his eyes shut, but it might've looked like he was sleeping. Pansear gasped and wailed at the sight of his incapacitated trainer. He leaped for the bed, concern written all over his face. Chili opened his eyes to look at his two visitors.
"Oh, hi, Pansear and Kazooie," he greeted, offering a slight smile. He was a little embarrassed to be seen in such a state, made obvious by his eyes darting around the room. "Sorry for running off and not letting you know where I went."
