It wasn't so strange a thing to thank. No different from a thank you for caring, for letting someone in. Wishing someone well. Allowing a person to share a brief second in that fragile, honest corner of the heart that normally was so guarded. It wasn't nothing, and that was worth something. Vinnie let a small grin tug at the edge of his mouth, seemingly unbothered by such close proximity. That, however, was most likely attributed to being completely unaware of how their current state of intimacy looked. Astonishingly unaware. Maddeningly.
