No one really noticed anything strange except the dreamer himself. Maybe some kind of subconscious force was at work alerting himself that the dream had been tampered somehow, and so he sent his eyes to wander the room until they met Chili's gaze from across the restaurant. Silent tension pervaded. He stared right back for a long, lingering moment.
