All at once, she dropped her guard and fell right into his arms. It was probably the most heartfelt speech she had anyone say to her. She bit her lip but it was too late, the tears started to come and she laughed, realizing how much she had changed over the past few years. She was crying and it felt good it wasn't a sign of weakness at all. Her hands dug into his elbow, and she put most of her weight on him before she was able to speak again.
"Thank you I..." Lash couldn't find the right words, nearly slipping but catching herself in time, grateful she hadn't put on high heels. That would have made this whole thing awkward. They had really gotten so close together, two birds of a feather in their strange past.
