Well okay, Caim remembered who he was. That was a first little step. Second step was that Caim didn't look at him with murderous intent at first sight. Both of these were relatively good things considering. Always look at the positives.

...He really can't talk though. But writing...writing was okay. At least they can have a conversation. Mac looked at Caim calmly, just like he will try to be this entire visit. Many people would think he's foolish for everything Mac was doing. He SHOULD want Caim to rot. But he was the kind of guy who listened to his heart more than his head.
