"Actually," she murmured for his ears alone, "I just wanted you to spend the day with me because I wanted you to spend the day with me." She just couldn't say it quite like that. It was a little too hard just to come out and admit that she wanted him to be around. And she didn't know why that was. When she got close to that realisation, it made her nervous and she wanted to turn that off.
