Marie, quite honestly, had never been on a date either. He'd only read about them in his sappy "novels" and all those magazines he pored over each week. Asking Spinny out hadn't quite gone as expected, but maybe the rest of the date would be better. He had promised Vinnie to make it a good one.

As he approached the itsy-bitsy spider, he felt himself start to blush. Thoughts of kissing her and holding her hand raced through his head for a moment. How she had just gotten her heart broken. He regathered his courage and walked in closer.
