At this point, Falkner couldn't take it. His patience had unwound so far down the spool that there was hardly any left, and it was becoming exceedingly harder to compose himself and give in to frustration. Zapdos obviously wasn't going to give him the time of day and there wasn't anything he could do about it, so he shook his head, muttered, "Hopeless," and made a wide eyeroll that went along with his turn to leave. But Zapdos probably couldn't hear! Because he was too busy IGNORING him!
"Well then, until next time!!" And then, he chose to briskly walk away. If Zapdos didn't want to speak, then he felt he had no choice but to respect that. It was such a shame, though... the legendary bird of thunder was so difficult to get along with. And he was so unbearably rude. Yet, despite all that, Falkner still felt a strong urge to build a good connection with him.
