ONE OF THESE DAYS, JUSTIN...

This was exactly the kind of thing Char had been born to do. Sparks and shrapnel flew, crates of royal jelly burst into flame, and the air was getting hazier by the second with the smoke being belched out by both the ruined machinery and Char himself. The pump that had once automatically filled the jars was broken open and spilling pungent royal jelly all over the floor. In short, it was quickly becoming utter chaos, something that worked out to their advantage: they were, after all, outnumbered, and if the gauntlet guys didn't get their shit together, then it was much easier to keep up the rampage.

It was obvious from the start that they weren't prepared to deal with someone from outside of Sinnoh - someone who could take care of themselves without being dependent on a Pokemon. The gauntlets were the only weapons he'd seen so far, and those were all but useless against Biomech. More importantly... he had yet to see a single Pokemon. Their only possible option seemed to be getting the Charizard under control and pointing him toward the gun-lady, and as long as the workers were too shaken to make a proper pursuit of it, he was sure falling into their range wasn't gonna happen. If Char could stay on his feet and make sure he didn't get cornered by one of those gauntlets, they'd be golden.

But that, of course, was only true as long as Char was the only controllable thing around. A short distance to Samus' left, a pair of workers were huddled in terror behind the capsized, dented remnant of a piece of machinery, having a hasty, panicked discussion.

"We gotta get the wasps out of here, man! Before they find them and take them down!"
"What? Are you crazy? The wasps are our only chance of stopping these guys! We can control them! We'll send them after the lady, dump the body in the river, and make the Charizard ours!"
"No way! That's way too risky. That woman's got a gun!"
"All this noise is gonna bring the wasps out anyway! Listen, you can hear it, can't you?"

It was almost unnoticeable beneath the cacophony of shattering glass, crumpling metal, panicked shouts and dragon roars, but it was there nonetheless; the buzzing was getting louder.
