Class | Swordsmanship 01
Who: Joshua and anyone!
What: The first swordsmanship class.
When: December 4th, Saturday. At 6AM. BE LATE OR BE SQUARE.
Where: ZE STADIUM. Forest mode.
Warnings: Maybe some violence later on!
Joshua was sitting in the stadium, legs and arms crossed as his coat fluttered in the light breeze. The setting was a clearing in a forest, temperature and climate as moderate as possible. The stifling heat and desert sand was too much for beginners, and would be a hassle for those who hadn't grown up in those conditions for all of their lives.
Where was he sitting? On a branch of a large oak tree, legs swinging slightly. His sword was slung onto his belt as always, curved edge glinting in the bright light. It was at an early time in the morning, but the setting showed no signs of what time it was or of that time passing.
Joshua watched the door, whistling lightly and waiting for people to start appearing. He was an early riser, and he figured that it was a good habit for his students to get used to.
[THREAD LIST/LESSON PLAN:
Some may be added gradually as time goes on!
1. Attendance/lurkers/etc.
2. Equipment time + First group Q&A
3. LESSON 1. Why would someone learn how to wield a sword?
4. LESSON 2. What do you think swordsmen are like? Noble? Fearless? Etc.
5. HOW TO HOLD A SWORD. A few exercises.
6. Sparring. Challenge Joshua or another student. IF YOU BEAT HIM YOU WIN SOMETHING.
Sub threads: Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced.
7. Last group Q&A
8. Private talks or questions, CHEERY END OF CLASS PEP TALK. ]
