As gas started spewing out, marking the beginning of their battle, Samus covered her mouth and started backing up, shooting defensively at Porky's Spider Mech. Her shots did little good of course, ricocheting off the metal surface with bright magenta sparks. "Snake! I put my last C4s on the Devil's Machine!" This was her only chance to do any kind of damage. She could only hope her efforts would be worthwhile.

The red laser shot straight out at the duo, and Samus lept to the side. As she came out of the roll, she looked around, not sure who the beam would follow. "Detonate it now, while Porky is still under it!"
