He gives a faint smile at that, wondering somewhere in the back of his mind if this was actually the proper way to use it, but...well, in theory, he was still doing his job as assistant librarian.
"I can...probably give you a few other ones if you wanted to read those, too," he suggests softly. "Similar ones, I mean," he adds, mentally kicking himself. His mental scolding is suddenly derailed, however, when the blue hedgehog presents him with...his first aid kit. He takes it with a grateful smile, already clicking open to make a mental note of what needs to be replaced, when he finds that it's...already done. Everything back where it should be, as if it wasn't even used.
"...Sonic, you...you didn't have to-" he says softly, making the mistake of glancing up at the hedgehog, golden eyes suddenly going a little wide at the sight of him unbuttoning that shirt, and it's about this time when all thought process for the silver hedgehog kind of just...shuts down, hits rewind and viciously replays the last time this happened for him.
"... ...w-well...as long as you...you don't mind it," he murmurs, clicking on the small desk lamp there. Right, focusing on the bandages. Looking at those first. Without even thinking, he's already reaching up through the gap in that open shirt, hands feeling along the length of each strip of bandage, checking over every inch of it.
"It...looks alright to me. Um, stretch your arms out a bit and I'll check the rest of it," he says, entirely focused on his task again.
