There was the sound of shifting gravel heard through out the yard of the campus. Sothe paused and looked around to see if there was anyone else out at this hour beside himself. He had just been accepted into the campus, but did not get the opportunity to check out the dojo like he had planned. The same place that he had gotten caught sneaking into before. After seeing that he was the only one around, he continued making his way across the sidewalk. He stopped infront of the doors.
All right... Let's see how good the school's locks are...
His hands reached into his pocket, pulling out a long jagged blade. Sothe placed his ear against the door and fumbled with the pick, listening for the lock to give.
Click.
Sothe smiled, pleased with himself, placing the pick back into his pocket and pushing the door open, slipping inside.
Okay, so maybe he shouldn't have been out this late, but Ike just couldn't get to sleep. His mind was racing way too much about things like tests, Marth, food, Marth, football... Marth. Guilty as charged.
Scratching at his head, Ike rose from his bed and slipped on a pair of loose track pants over his boxers, leaving on the black wifebeater he had put on before trying to get to sleep. He'd promptly grab the dorm key from his desk and, making sure not to wake Link, tip-toed out into the hall.
Now, one should be extremely cautious of the many surveillance cameras set up around the school, but Ike was just strolling along as if he was invisible. Seriously, no one really watches those monitors. And if the guard happens to be awake, the senior has certain connections that let him wander the school whenever he wants, as long as he doesn't cause any mischief.
Making his way out into the warm night air, his head turned over to open doors which unmistakably lead into the dojo. With a shrug of his shoulders, Ike proceeded suavely into the room, placing his hands into his pockets.
"Returning to the scene of the crime?"
Sothe was standing with his back to the door when he had heard the faint sound of foot steps. He cursed himself for not paying better attention. Then he heard his voice. Ike's.
Sothe jumped a little and turned quickly to face the taller man. Once again, he cursed himself.
"I didn't think anyone was up this late..." Sothe started fumbling with the hem of his sleeveless shirt. He lowered his face into his scarf, a habit he adapted when he started stealing and getting caught. "I haven't touched anything. I promise"
Sothe's eyes shifted from Ike to the open door. He thought about just running, but then kicked himself mentally.
This is a school. Your school. You don't have to run anymore. He's just another student, like you.
Ike withdrew his hands from his pockets and folded his arms over his chest, tilting his head, "Well, you got caught the first time. I bet you're not used to getting filmed." He'd lazily lift a finger to vaguely point out the camera in one of the top corners of the room.
"But you're right; no one should be awake at this time. Makes me wonder why you're here..." Making sure not to leave the dojo's entrance in case Sothe decided to dart off, Ike glanced his blue eyes around the dimly lit room and found nothing to have been moved.
"Doesn't look like you touched anything yet," Ike walked over to the shorter boy, steadily analyzing him for any hints of stolen objects.
Sothe looked over to where Ike had pointed and met the gaze with a security camera. His heart sunk and he frowned behind his scarf. Sothe then looked to Ike and followed his gaze with his golden eyes. He flipped his hair out of his face.
"I haven't taken anything, and I didn't plan to. . . I was just going to look around." Sothe moved his gaze to what appeared to be the supply wall. His gaze fell on a few daggers that gleamed at him.
Damn. I could use those. . . Oh well, no senes trying if I'm going to be recorded...
"So," Sothe looked back at Ike standing infront of him. "What are you doing up around this time...?" He noticed that Ike was eyeing him closely. Sothe raised his thin arms up from his sides and raised an eyebrow.
"Do I not pass the visual? Are you going to pat me down?"
Guessing that the kid finally realized the camera, Ike leaned his weight onto one leg and quirked a brow, hands placed loosely onto his sides and he continued to study the little scamp. "Yeah... I wonder how many people believe you when you say you're 'just looking around'." Like the boy who cried wolf, right?
"Anyways, I'm here because I was taking a walk to clear my head. But really it should be none of your business..." Ike's voiced trailed off as his eyes made a final run down over Sothe's body. Where could this kid possibly hide anything? He's so tiny.
"...Do you require a pat-down?"
Sothe watched Ike shift his weight and thought about darting, since he would be caught off guard, but finally scratched that thought from his head.
"No need to be so touchy. . .To answer your question, people have a tendency of believing me because they don't know me. And I don't cry wolf often." Sothe flipped his hair out of his face, just to have it fall back into place. Sothe watched Ike look him over, a small smile showing itself.
"I might need one considering you are not believing a word I'm saying..."
"I'm touchy about it because you could cause someone else a whole lot of trouble. Someone like me. I shouldn't be worrying about the cameras since the school holds a very nice trust in me. But if something goes missing, and the cameras pick up only me, guess who'll be in trouble?" He'd coolly point a finger at himself.
"Fortunately for me, I caught you sneaking around before you could take anything. Now, let's see here..." Swiftly catching one of Sothe's wrists within his grip, Ike would wrench his arm over in order to grab the boy's other wrist with the same hand, squeezing them tightly to bring them over his head. Hopefully he wasn't ticklish, because Ike now trailed his free hand down the junior's sides, leaning over to take a look at his rear pockets as his hand found its way back there, too. Just as a precaution of course, not to purposely get a feel of his butt.
There probably wasn't any point to this at all, since the kid was wearing such skin-tight clothing. But one could never be sure! This guy might be a pro or something. Ike would release his wrists and bend down. With the help with his now-freed other hand, he'd pat down Sothe's jeans until reaching his ankles. There really was nothing that he took. At least nothing the senior could find.
"...You're safe for now."
"Well I would think they wouldn't suspect you unless you have a rec-"
Sothe was cut off by the suddeny swiftness that Ike had demonstrated on the thinner boy. He could feel his face grow hot at the akward position he was in. Sothe looked away when he felt Ike's hands on his sides and touching his ribs. There was the sudden brush of Ike's face against him when the senior looked behind the junior. Then there was the sudden hand on Sothe's butt.
By instict, Sothe's body jerked forward, his hips hitting Ike for a moment before retreating. Sothe kicked himself mentally.
What the Hell. Way to go dumb ass. . . Don't open your mouth next time.
Sothe noticed the freedom his wrists where in only to watch Ike go down on his knees. His face continued to flush at the suggestive scene, hoping who ever was watching the cameras wouldn't think something else was happening. Sothe body tensed when Ike touched his ankle, hoping he wouldn't feel his blade.
"Am I safe now?" Sothe looked down at Ike, but not before calming down.
"Yeah. You're safe... But you look a bit red. Are you feeling okay?" Jeez, it was the kid's own suggestion to be felt up- er, checked, and now he's gonna get all flustered about it? And what was with that hip thrust thing he did?
Scratching at his head, Ike stood up and stretched his back. He bet Sothe was just waiting for him to leave so he could get on with whatever diabolic plot he had. That runt... He got lucky with his timing, but if he really was planning on stealing something tonight, his luck had definitely run out.
"I still don't trust you being here alone. So if you're really just looking around, I bet you won't mind me staying here with you to watch what you're doing." Who would mind? Ike doesn't stare at just anyone for longer than a second.
"Y-yeah. I'm fine." Sothe watched Ike stand up and couldn't help his eyes wander over his body. His turned around quickly to hide his blushing face and to get some sort of control.
Damnit, is he really going to stand around and watch me...?
"I've got nothing to hide, and nothing to steal." Sothe's golden eyes looked over at the weapon wall, eyeing what was to be his prize. He started walking to the wall, the sound of his boots echoed in the quiet room. He raised a finger up to one of the blades, running it along the side.
"So . . . You're a fighter. . .?" Sothe's smile was hidden by his hair.
Maybe he wouldn't mind some action. . .
Ike narrowed his eyes as Sothe began to walk away from him, folding his arms over his chest as the boy stopped in front of the rack that held the various lengths of blades and other potentially sharp weapons. "Looking for a new dagger to hide in your sock?" Oh yeah, Ike wasn't dense. What good thief didn't do the whole weapon-in-the-sock thing? ...Like it wasn't practically visible beneath those tight jeans.
"Yeah, I am a fighter. One of the best at this school." No one actually took down any rankings, but Ike was somewhere within the top 35. "Why do you ask?" What? Is this kid actually going to try to come at him with that butter knife of a blade? Then again, Ike is currently totally unarmed.
He'd start making his way silently across the room, where the students' personalized weapons were stored. It was like a locker situation, each weapon placed within its own locked space. The school didn't allow the students to take their weapons out of the dojo area, unless they were to be used in the much larger stadium during the tournaments.
Ike suavely leaned his back against Ragnell's locker, hiding the already opened lock. Did Sothe know that there were weapons in these lockers? Even if he did, would he know this one was Ike's?
“Aw, so you did find it. Not like it was concealed very well.” The younger boy’s ears picked up the soft sound of Ike’s padding to the wall that had lockers to it. Sothe had thought nothing of these lockers, but if Ike was going to them, there was something interesting housed in the metal closets.
“No reason.” Sothe gripped a small dagger and spun, ripping it off the wall and throwing it towards Ike. He was good enough to know when to release so that it would not hit the other student, just land on the locker beside his head. He stood with one hand on his hip with a sly, but small smile across his lips, his back against the weapon wall.
Sothe’s golden eyes watched Ike closely, keeping his guard up, but just taking in what the other boys reaction was. His other thin hand felt behind him for another dagger. He tried to hold back a wince when his felt his finger open up.
Shit.
It was a paper cut like wound, but it still bled. Sothe placed the blade in the back of his pants, his eyes never leaving Ike's body.
Of course Ike found the dagger. He was practically feeling him up, wasn't he?
Anyways, there was now a sharp knife flying in the senior's direction, though he didn't move to dodge it. Then again, he had no time to dodge it, and it landed with the tip haphazardly wedged into the locker. The lockers were made of a strong metal, thus the knife would fall to the ground shortly after impact, but Ike still gulped down the lump in his throat at how accurate that throw really was. Sothe meant to miss.
Never straying his eyes from the junior, he'd swing open the creaky locker door with a hand and pull out the large golden sword that it kept safe, holding it in front of him with the hilt grasped by both hands for extra support. Ike thought that he probably wouldn't need to use the sword much, just scare Sothe a bit. Bloodshed definitely wouldn't be a good thing, especially if any of the crimson liquid was left behind on the floor.
The kid's finger is bleeding... Would he still be able to throw properly? Either way...
"Prepare yourself."
The emerald haired boy was pleased at the reaction he received from ike, but then widened his eyes at the sudden appearance of the golden sword. He was taken back a little. He had heard of Ike being a great fighter, and was somewhat envious of the rumors he had heard, not to mention to slight idolization he had of the older boy. Sothe swallowed hard, and tightened his fist, his right hand oozing a little.
How are you going to do this. . .? He is stronger then you. . . He isn’t really going to do anything right. . .? I was just playing.
The thinner boy turned to the wall and ripped off two more daggers, these being slightly larger than the one he had thrown. He turned and face Ike, smiling at the challenge. That’s when he made he move.
He ran straight at him.
Ike's eyes wandered to the red substance that trickled down the hilt of the dagger in Sothe's right hand. Finding this to be a bit of a weak spot, Ike bent his knees to lower his center of gravity and eagerly awaited the boy's close presence. As Sothe moved in closer, he'd take a few quick steps forward and make an underhand motion with his sword.
If his timing was right, Ike was meaning to hit one of Sothe's grounded ankles with the dull side of his blade, wanting him to trip. If his plan went well, he'd then be able to drop his sword and safely grab hold of the junior's right wrist and squeeze tightly, hoping that the open wound had impaired that hand slightly.
The captured arm would then be jerked towards himself quite roughly, twisting it around in order to force Sothe's body to turn away from Ike. He'd then be able to securely fasten that arm behind the boy's back, which wouldn't be painful as long as Sothe didn't struggle. As for the other armed hand, Ike would merely lean forward and place his hand over his as to make sure he wouldn't be stabbed in the leg or something.
Sothe darted forward to Ike, daggers in hands, arms across his chest. His eyes were set on Ike’s eyes, and he did not notice the steps Ike had made, not to mention how he was balanced for defense. Sothe’s ankle felt a blunt hit on it. The dagger hidden in his boot made a slight nick in his flesh.
He started flying forward, his eyes still fixed on Ike’s, but his head now launching towards the elder boys chest. He could hear the clang of the metal hitting the dojo floor. Sothe’s wrist felt the touch of Ike’s hand, and then his grip, causing his hand to open and drop his dagger. The room suddenly spun when he was whipped around, his back facing against Ike’s chest. Sothe tried to break his wrist free, but tensed when he felt it had been tied behind him.
He went to slash his dagger at Ike, but cursed when he noticed Ike’s hand grabbing the other wrist, holding it tight.
“Shit.” Sothe hissed. He flipped his wrist, causing the dagger to hop into the air, spinning before landing in his hand again, dagger facing towards Ike and himself. He wasn’t going to use the blade against Ike, he just wanted to show the older boy that if needed, Sothe could possibly get out of the awkward position. The thinner boy tried moving his body, but stopped when he felt that Ike’s body was against his, set aside from his tied up arm
Ike's eyes shot down to Sothe's dagger play, flinching at the fact that the blade was now facing towards him. He'd sidestep then quickly unbind Sothe's arm from his back, though he made sure to keep his tight grip upon it. Yanking the dangerously equipped hand towards him, he'd force the younger student to once again flip around, this time to face him.
Wrists still in hand, Ike would move Sothe backwards and slam his hands against the lockers. He'd move his knee between the junior's legs to make sure he had his body pinned securely, their hips locked together to help make sure Sothe wouldn't be going anywhere.
In any other situation, this would've looked completely suggestive. Heck, it looks suggestive either way. But Ike was completely innocent here. ...Sothe, on the other hand... Who knows what he's thinking.
"Give up. You're not getting anywhere."
Sothe winced at the force Ike used to slam his hands against the lockers. His right hand was still throbbing from the continued activity he put it through, along with the gash that had deepened. Sothe looked up to face Ike’s eyes, his brows furrowed at him.
Sothe’s heart started racing at the sudden pressure his hips felt. He looked down to see the Ike was against him, the blue haired boy’s knee between his legs. Sothe’s face flushed a little. He had never experienced this sort of body contact with anyone, even when fighting. He squirmed underneath Ike.
Stop fucking blushing. He’s got you pinned and all you can do is blush!?
Sothe cursed himself and looked back up at Ike’s eyes with his golden ones. This was an awkward position they were in and he prayed that the security wasn’t watching he cameras. Sothe tried squirming one more time.
“Let me go!”
Sothe lifted one of his legs up and wrapped it around Ike’s hips. He was thankful he was as flexible as he was. With Ike’s hips pressed firmly against his own, and Sothe’s back to the wall, he was able to lift his other leg and wrap it around Ike’s hips. The junior started to arch his back, pushing his hips against Ike, hoping to get some space between his back and the wall.
Ike looked down to Sothe's reddening face and blinked. ...Was he suffocating him? No wait, people turn blue when that happens. His thoughts strayed off as he heard the kid yell, and he really was about to let go until he started to struggle against him.
And now there was a leg wrapped around his waist, following up with another around this other side. ...What the f- "...H-hey! What do you think you're- You're gonna fall if you keep pushing!" Ike was expecting Sothe to slowly be sliding down the locker, and he probably would've been if Ike now wasn't letting go of his hands in order to support the younger boy's back.
He'd take a step back to make sure Sothe didn't hit his head on the metal, eyes trailing down to how peculiar this sight really was. Now it just seemed like he was being straddled. Standing up. Against a locker.
"..."
When Sothe had thought out his plan, he did not think about what would happen once there was space available to his back. He just assumed he would try and possibly flip the older boy over. He scratched that idea because that would just send Ike into a locker, and Sothe did not want that. At all.
Sothe felt his wrists let free, only to feel Ike’s hands attached to his back for his own support. Sothe noticed they were moving and watched as Ike took a step back. He noted the space between his head and the locker. His first instinct was to wrap his arms around Ike’s neck, which he did. He sat there for a moment, straddling Ike, looking into his eyes.
This isn’t at all awkward. I mean, throwing your arms around his neck… Totally manly. If Ike was an enemy, it wouldn’t take much to snap his neck. Yeah, that’s it. It was battle protocol…
Sothe swallowed hard when he felt Ike’s hips against his own. He thanked the Goddess that he was wearing tight jeans. His face flushed again, letting out a quiet, shaky breath.
He’s going to kick your ass….
Ike narrowed his eyes and looked directly into Sothe's, quirking a brow at the fact that a pair of arms was just swung over his shoulders. Was this funny to him?
The senior definitely wasn't about to lose his cool, in fact it seemed like he was completely oblivious to the detail that there was now another male's crotch next to his. Battle procedure, right? Of course, nothing like this ever happened in wars.
With one hand still supporting the junior, he'd use the other to free his neck from the arms' bind, promptly letting go of Sothe's body to let him fall onto the floor, butt-first.
"Is there anything else you might be able to dish out?"
What a complete waste of time. He could've been taking that walk like he originally planned. Instead, he was frolicking around with this fruit.
Sothe's eyes widened when he watched Ike move his arms from his neck. A loud thud was heard when he hit the ground, followed by the throbbing pain. Sothe looked up at the Senior and frowned at his comment.
Ass...
Sothe moved his arms in front of him to give balance. It appeared that he was getting up, except for that one leg. . .
With a quick swoop, the younger boy spun his leg into Ike's ankles, knocking him off balance. Sothe smiled and watch the taller boy fall to the ground. He took this as his cue to get up quickly. He looked down at Ike and smirked.
"There you go," Sothe placed his hands on his hips. "I'm done with you now." He moved his hands down to his sides and turned on his heel to walk out. He looked down at his gashed hand, but then felt it was worth it, considering he still had that dagger hidden in the back of his pants.
He quickened his pace.
Ike's eyes shot down to the sudden pressure he felt on his ankles, but was definitely too late to move since he was already falling to the ground. He landed gracelessly onto his rear, cringing slightly at the painful impact. Sothe was already gone from his line of vision, and the senior wondered what the hell just happened. How did that runt manage to trip him?
He stood up stiffly, taking a few steps over to where he discarded Ragnell onto the ground to pick up the sword. Blue eyes briefly made contact with the security camera's lens, shifting over to the rack that displayed the various lengths of daggers and small blades. Four were missing. One was thrown into the locker, the other two Sothe used to come at him with. And the other...?
Ike looked down near his feet, spotting the three daggers that were used. But the fourth one was nowhere in sight. That means...
"Hey!" He'd yell, making a run after Sothe. The sword would slow him down extremely, but without it he'd probably be able to catch up to the little thief. But for how long?
Sothe started to quicken his pace again once he exited the dojo. He turned around the corner of the building, hoping that Ike wouldn’t think to do the same. His golden eyes darted around him, making sure no one was around to see the thief. He didn’t bother removing the blade from his pants. It was best to wait until he got back to his room. He just hoped his roommate was fast asleep.
Once he passed the dojo building, he started to walk around the garden area. It was the long way to get back to his dorm, but he hoped this tactic would lose Ike. He had no idea how the older boy reacted to his actions, and he hoped he wasn’t dead meat. Ike had connections and he could make the Junior’s life Hell.
Not to mention all the damn girl stuff you did. . . Blushing? What the Hell. . .? I mean, yeah he is attractive, but- No, shut up!
Sothe stopped at the sound of something moving, darting behind a large bush and flower bed. He clenched his fist and then cursed, looking down at his right hand. His eyes widened.
He left a trail of blood.
That's right, Sothe. Go ahead and get yourself lost. The school grounds are huge, and straying off the paths would definitely get even the oldest students lost, especially during the night. Ike only managed to catch the glimpse of the thief's red scarf before it disappeared around the corner, but at least now he knew which way to turn.
Running along, he rounded the corner only to find- ...nothing. The surrounding area was completely runt-free, causing Ike to kick at a rock near his toes out of frustration, sending it blazing down the pathway. Following the course the rock took with his eyes, the senior couldn't help but notice the peculiar crimson drops that were fading into the dirty.
Trying to wield those daggers hurt him after all.
The trail of blood led directly into the flowers and behind a bush, and Ike thought about how certain horror movie murderers always managed to find that trail of their victim's blood, and how they always managed to kill them like that. Of course, the guy wasn't about to murder anyone over a stolen dagger.
...That's right, the dagger. Maybe jumping him behind the bush wouldn't be such a good idea. The kid might get freaked out and subconsciously stab him, especially with those quick reflexes. Instead, he picked up a fairly large stone and chucked it fiercely into the bush.
Sothe continued to curse mentally at the stupid rookie mistake he made of leaving his trail. He grabbed a bit of his shirt and tore it, making a make shift bandage for his hand. He could have used his scarf, but shirts were replaceable, not his scarf.
Golden eyes scanned the area. What had he gotten himself into? All he could see were flowers, shrubbery and trees. This had to be the back of the school. A heavily wooded area was blocking him in. Sothe frowned while bandaging his hand.
His body froze in place when he heard foot steps. His uninjured hand went straight for the blade, but then stopped.
What the Hell. Stop that. It’s just Ike…
Sothe was crouched down, and turned on his heel slowly to peak through the bush. He wanted to see how close the blue haired boy was. He caught sight of Ike picking up something, and before he could recognize what it was, the object was sent hurling towards his face.
Sothe tried dodging it, but was too slow. The rock caught him right on his forehead, knocking him out cold for a few minutes.
Before he could stop himself, the rock had already bounced off of Sothe's forehead, leaving a mark so blatant that even Ike noticed it from where he was. He didn't mean to hit him in the head, just to scare him out from behind the bush!
Ike jogged quickly over to the passed out boy and dropped to his knees next to him, finally noticing that he really was out cold.
"...Sh-shit." What now, genius? You KILLED him.
He panicked at the thought. Of course Sothe wasn't really dead, but what if he didn't wake up for a while? Should Ike just leave him here? No, that would be really mean. He'd grumble and slide an arm under Sothe's back, the other under his knees, and stood up with the junior in his arms. If anything, he at least had to get him out of the bushes.
Ike headed back for the dojo, since the mess they made there had to be taken care of, and the stolen dagger returned.
All Sothe could remember was the rock being hurled to him. Now all he saw was black.
After about 3 minutes, he could feel that he was moving. Well, he wasn't but he knew whatever was holding his body was moving. Sothe stated to come to, wincing at the throbbing pain his forehead was going through.
The younger boy opened his golden eyes a little. From what he could tell, he was still at the school, and not at the forest. He realized the building he was being carried in to be the dojo. Sothe let out a groan.
He turned his head to the side to see that Ike was the one responsible for carrying him. The smaller boy couldn't help but smile... on the inside of course.
His eyes look down briefly as Sothe stirred. Ike had almost been expecting the kid to freak out and scramble out of his arms. Good thing he didn't, or else the senior may have just had to hit him with another rock. On purpose this time.
A sigh drifted from his lips. At least the kid wasn't dead, but now he was awake. How will he get that dagger away from him?
Stepping into the middle of the dojo, he'd slowly release the arm that was set under the junior's knees, letting him stand. This gave Ike the opportunity to slide his hand up Sothe's leg to subtly slip the dagger from out of his pocket, placing it within his own. The other arm was kept on his back, giving the boy support.
"Are you okay? Can you walk, at least?"
Sothe had closed his eyes and enjoyed being carried for once. He noticed he was slipping and then he felt the floor beneath his feet. His free ride was over. The Junior felt Ike's hands up his leg, and then the sliding of cold steel leaving his back side. He frowned.
Damn . . . Oh well, better luck next time.
"Yes, I can stand," Sothe raised a hand to his forehead. It was throbbing and raised. Lovely. Good think his hair could cover most of it. "So you found the other?" He tried standing on his own, wobbling a little. It seemed he blacked out before.
"I guess you are going to report me hm...?" Sothe's golden eyes looked at Ike. He started to regret everything he did tonight. He just got in the school, and now he was going to be kicked out.
Damn right he's going to report you! Oh yeah, you'll definitely be in for it this time, Sothe. They'll yell at you, and then suspend you. Maybe even EXPEL you. Hah, take that, you little twerp!
"...No, I'm not gonna tell anyone."
Wait, what?
"It's more fun if I'm there to catch you in the act," Ike smiled cleverly, flipping out the dagger to hold it under Sothe's chin. "I like winning." He'd prod the boy's neck with the blade very gently before turning away and walking over to where the other daggers were dropped.
There was no point in telling anyone anything. If the school wanted to know something, they'd check the cameras. And they would definitely notice that a dagger was missing if Ike hadn't retrieved it. Really, he just saved Sothe from getting in trouble.
Wait.. What? Sothe looked up at Ike and quirked an eyebrow.
". . What?" The younger boy swallowed hard at the sudden blade to his neck. He was usually the one on the other end of the blade. This was new to him. He swallowed hard at Ike's comment, then flashed a quick smile.
"I let you win..." Sothe watched Ike put the blades up before turning to the older boys locker, looking in it for something to possibly take. His eyes rested on a head band, then his hands rested on it. Sothe slipping it in his boot.
Sothe had a stealing problem that was going to get him into trouble during the school year. . .
Ike placed the daggers back onto the rack in correct order of size and walked back to pick up his sword. Shifting over to his locker, he'd look inside only to find that one headband was missing. ...Argh, stupid kid!
"I just saved your ass from getting kicked out and you STILL continue?!" The senior slapped the palm of his hand to his forehead, groaning. "Have you maybe thought of asking for these things? I would've given it to you..."
Making sure that nothing else had been taken, Ike placed the sword into the locker and closed the door, clicking the lock closed.
"I shouldn't even bother caring if you get expelled, I hardly know you. You wouldn't know a good deed if it hit you in the face- oh wait, I forgot – it sorta hit you in the forehead. Let that ugly mark remind you of my generosity. ...And you could keep the stupid head thing!"
Ike pushed past Sothe and headed towards the door, still muttering to himself.
Sothe looked away when Ike started to snap at him, feeling bad for being a thief. He couldn't help it. He's only been doing it all his life. It was all second nature. He frowned and looked up at his battle bump that sat pretty on his forehead, turning his head to see if his hair would cover it all.
Not a chance...
Golden eyes watched Ike lock his locker and walk out, muttering at the same time. Sothe stared at the lock and thought about picking it.
"No!.. Stop..." Instead he jogged up behind Ike. "Uhm... Ike...? Thank you, and I'm sorry. . . You can have it back . . . I don't even know what I'd do with it. . . " Sothe reached into his boot and pulled out the head band, looking down at it.
As he heard Sothe's voice get closer to him, Ike stopped walking. After hearing the short apology and letting it sink in, he'd turn around to face the boy and snatched the headband out of his hand, sighing. Curse his good nature!
"...Here." He'd step behind Sothe and wrap the cloth around his forehead, tying it at the back. "It's my fault that you have that mark on your forehead. You at least deserve to keep this for a while." Sothe really should be more careful with all the cameras set up around the school. If something went missing, it wouldn't go unnoticed.
"Don't go making a bad rep for yourself so early."
Sothe blinked at the kind gesture Ike did. He was surprised he didn't turn around and start yelling at him. He smiled a little and nodded after Ike had finished tying the head band.
"Thanks. You're right, I should probably stop. Sorry for bothering with this head ache tonight. . ." Sothe did feel bad after a while. Ike was right. He just got into the school, well, was caught and still accepted. He needed to calm down with the stealing act. . . At least for a little while.
". . . Thanks again Ike. . . For not turning me in. I owe you." Sothe nodded his head and turned to walk to the dorms. He should probably get some sleep. . . His first day of class was tomorrow and he wouldn't make a good impression being late. He turned one last moment to look at Ike, nodding again for walking to the dorms.
Ike's going to be fun. . .
