He landed hard on the floor and scrambled away, managing to put some distance between the two of them before standing and trying to force air back into his lungs. With his arms and legs finally freed, Falcon felt a lot more confident about putting up a fight and facing Black Shadow mano a mano, as intimidating as the guy was.
He suddenly felt very small. Small, but not powerless.
"Not today." He said, grin leaving his face, replaced by stoic determination. "I know this whole shebang was probably brilliantly orchestrated and all, and I'm flattered that you'd go to such lengths just for me, but to be honest? I don't really feel like dying."
By now his gun was back in the holster, discarded in favor of his blazing fists. Though it was probably in his best interests to make for the door or even fling himself out the window, Falcon felt that burning hatred rise in his chest again and he knew he would stay and fight...for as long as he could ensure a safe escape.
In the meantime...he figured as he launched himself at his opponent with a snarl...he'd see just how much damage he could do.
