So Knuckles had never taken any math classes, and didn't realize he needed them to graduate.  What a fine mess.

And of course, she had to get into an argument with him about it.  But she did feel bad about it, which she would probably never have done at least a year or so ago.  So what did she do?  When he asked her to tutor him, she agreed.  She brought some math textbooks to the Auto Shop room and tried to set up as best she could.  She had a good mind for math, given her background in engineering, enough that she could help Knuckles handle any math equivalency he had to do.  And so when she finished setting up, she waited.
