Sonny Moe loved hanging out by the lake. Even with its bits of Egg Carrier strewn around and the fact that it was rising, it was still one of his favorite places. He loved playing with the Chao and napping in the sunshine and playing his Ukulele to the gentle slapping of water on the shore.

Today, he was practicing a new song he'd been learning. Every so often, though, he was sure he could see something move out of the corner of his eye! It was blue, but it was no Chao he'd ever seen before!

Well. Maybe if he kept playing, it would get curious and come over to say Hello?

He could only hope!

"Fly me too the moon, and let me play among the stars..."

Mesprit had circled the campus three times now. Still no sign of Uxie or Azelf. Ohh, she missed them! She was hoping they'd be here when she returned, but so far, there was no sign of either of them. How sad!

She floated dejectedly back toward her dorm. Maybe they weren't here after all...

But the gentle notes of a ukulele hit her ears (?). Such a sweet sound! So soothing and mellow! Where is it coming from?

From that blue-haired guy, apparently. He looked friendly enough, so she floated up to him and watched him strum a few chords before piping up:

"HEY, MISTER MAN!! YOU'RE REALLY GOOD!! I LIKE THE MUSIC YOU'RE PLAYING!! IT MAKES ME HAPPY!!"

Haha, it worked!

"Thank you!" Sonny replied with a grin. "That's my favorite thing about the Ukulele - it always sounds happy!"

HMMMM. Wait. Was this a Pokémon?

"My name is Sonny Moe - it's nice to meet you! Are you a Pokémon?"

All smiles. Smiles everywhere. He wasn't using big words and he seemed really friendly!

"Hehe! Yes, Mister Ma-- Sonny Moe, I'm a pokemon! My brother Uxie says I'm the bringer of emotion! I don't know what that means, but Uxie is really smart, so I trust him! My name is Mesprit! Are you a trainer, Mister Sonny Moe?"

"Nope!" Sonny replied, quite amused that he'd be mistaken for one. "I'm actually a Pokémon, but I can take a Human form! I'm a Snorlax! Do you know what a one of those is?"

She blinked in confusion, then shook it off and beamed in amazement.

"WOW, you can turn into a HUMAN?! I didn't know Pokemon could do that! Aww, I don't know what a Snorlax is! Are they the only ones that can turn into a human? I've seen purple blob Pokemon that can turn into other Pokemon, but none that can turn into a human!"

"All Pokémon here could do it!" Sonny replied. "You could too! You just need to learn the TM to do it! I'll take you to the admin office and we can get one for you if you want!"

Suddenly: POOMPF! White light and a popping noise aaaaaaand...

There sat a Snorlax.

"Lax lax!"

See? I'm a Pokémon now! This is what I look like!

Well golly gee whiz, Pokemon*Sonny sure takes up a lot of space!

"Wowwie, you're so big! And now you LOOK like a pokemon, hehe!" She looked him over and paused for a moment to search her memory. "No, I don't think I've EVER seen a Snorlax before! But that's okay. How'd you do that?"

There's a TM you could use, like I said. It's given to any student! You can use it to become a Human by using it like a move - and best of all, it doesn't take up a move slot! So you don't have to forget a different move first!

Super convenient!

She scratched her cheek while trying to process his words. Sooo confusing!

"WHAT'S A TM, MISTER SONNY MOE? I just know the things I know because ... I KNOW THE THINGS I KNOW!"

"TMs are machines that look like discs and they teach you a move!" Sonny explained. "It's OK, lots of wild Pokémon don't know what they are. I can help you, though!"

"Wow, THANKS!! I want to learn new things, too!! WHERE DO I HAVE TO GO TO GET A MACHINE, MISTER SONNY MOE?!"

"We could go to the admin office and get one for you!" Sonny said, getting to his feet and dusting down his shorts. "It won't take long!"

Mesprit spun around mid-air and swished her tails around in glee before dashing straight to the doors.

"YAAAAY!! IT'S THIS WAY, RIGHT?! I TALKED TO MASTER HAND WHEN I GOT MY DORM!! LET'S GO!!"

She flew ahead, grabbed the door handle, and pulled. ...And pulled. "GEE, MMPH, THESE DOORS SURE ARE HEAVY WHEN NO ONE ELSE IS OPENING THEM WITH YOU!!"

"Everything is easier with a friend helping out, huh?" Sonny said with a grin, opening the door for her and walking in too.

"We can go over this way to get it!" he said, pointing towards the admin desk. "I wonder what your Human form will look like! It's always exciting to find out!"

"EEEEEE!! I'm so EXCITED!! I hope I look PRETTY!!"

She spun in a loop as she approached the admin desk, accidentally knocking a pencil cup off the desk.

"Hehe, ooops... I wonder if I'll still have my tails when I'm a human, hehe..." she said as she zipped around picking up each pen. One. At. A. Time. Mesprit, it'll take you forever if you do it that way...

"Here, while you do that, let me get you the TM, OK?"

He'd normally stop and help but hey, they were on a mission! Let's not lose sight of their objective!

He leaned over the desk and spoke with the secretary about Mesprit's situation and was issued one (1) Humanization TM free of charge.

"Got it~~!" Sonny sang, holding it out for his new buddy to see.

Mesprit finished cleaning up her mess and shifted the cup slightly so the edges were perpendicular to the desk. Ah, much better!

She turned to see a [relatively] large disc waving in front of her. "Wow!" she exclaimed. "This will help me turn into a human person?! Thanks, Sonny Moe!!" Mesprit took the TM from him, grasping it from the edge. It was almost as big as she was!

"Oh. How do I use it?! Hehe!!"

Sonny grinned. "Close your eyes and I'll activate it for you on Three! Oooone.... Twwooooo, Twwoooo and a haaaalf..."

He tapped it to her forehead and activated it. How did he do it? It's a mystery. Because I have No Idea. "Three!"

She stared down at her hands, which were for some reason overtaken by the sleeve to an oversize nightgown. Funny how it was the same color her little mitten hands were before.

"aaaAAAAAAAAAH, WE DID IT!!!!!!! WOWWIE, I'M A HUMAN PERSON!!" She turned to Sonny Moe. "DO I LOOK GOOD?!"

"Yeah! You look super good! Look, look!"

Sonny pointed to a nearby office door that had a large glass window to it. There was a shade drawn over it on the inside so the glass was quite reflective. Not quite a mirror, but hey - it would do for now!

"What do you think!?"

Mepsrit turned and stared at her reflection with awe.

"...Oh WOW." She flipped one of her pink bangs out of her face only to have it flap down over her eye again.

"My human hair is SO PRETTY!! And what's this?!" She poked the jewel on her forehead. It seems that little detail had stuck around for her human form, too. "IS THAT MY GEM?! HEHE!! IT'S SO SHINY!!!"

Mesprit spun around in place with utter joy.

"THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU, SONNY MOE!!" She jumped forward to engulf him in a big pajama-covered hug.

Sonny Moe was definitely a hugger. He hugged her back, grinning broadly.

"You're welcome! I'm so happy you like the way you look! Now you can do all kinds of fun Human things, too! Like get clothes and shave and figure out opposable thumbs!"

Not as easy as you might figure.

"This is really exciting! What would you want to do first!?"
