Who: Madotsuki, YOU
Where: Anywhere
When: Backdated to July 19th
What: The dreamer explores her new world.
Warnings: Stabbing-prone child.
There was only one door in the nexus. Different, but not unusual. The door was new, in red and black. She went.
A classroom. Empty, a scrawl of notes on the board, left over from a class that would never be in attendance. An eraser sat underneath, teasing a teacher's laziness as she read the gibberish: FORWARD TILT SIDE SMASH LEDGE ATTACK DOWN AERIAL UP THROW. A cheat code? She grasped the eraser, thumbs twitching over it, UUDDLRLRAB. Classic, simple, accessible. Reaching as far up as she could, she erased the bottom half of the code. Nothing happened. She needed height. Later.
She walked to the window. A big city with purple scratches over the sky, like a big cat had run its claws through the stratosphere. Her eraser made little clouds of choking dust as she patted it against the windowsill. Was that a new one? It didn't feel like a new one. She left it tehre.
There were doors. More classrooms? Hallways? She'd look around.
A small, quiet, unfamiliar girl stepped into the halls of Smash Academy, her eyes shut tight as she looked around.

When Ecolo noticed Madotsuki looking around the classrooms, he approached her without a second thought.
"Hello, braided-hair girl! Do you know anything fun we can do~?"
no subject
"I do." Her voice was a soft rasp. "It's called the quiet game."
no subject
It didn't take long for Ecolo to start making weird faces and poses in silent, though. For a shadow, he sure didn't know how to stay quiet.
no subject
A shadow in the halls of a school, begging for games. Someplace it was not wanted, needed but rejected, incessantly following even after silenced. Lost, forgotten, strangled in academia. For a few minutes, she accepted her company, for pity and nostalgia.
For a few minutes, and no longer. She wasn't a kid anymore, and such desires to play had no place here. She'd moved beyond them. Also she got bored of it following her. There was one easy way to wash out a shadow.
Madotsuki stopped in her tracks, tapped at her chest, and had a lamppost for a head.
no subject
"Wow! You can turn your head into a lamp! That's so cool~" He blinked then, realizing he just lost the quiet game. "Oh no, I broke the game rule! Aww... But you should tell me your name. My name is Ecolo! Nice to meet you~"
A shadow that doesn't know when to leave, yes. That was Ecolo.

The light flickered, blinked, then dissipated into a proper head once more. The shadow of innocence could lurk and clamor and hope, but it couldn't come back. She had no use for it, and it didn't remember her.
She kept walking, without a word.
no subject
"Hmmm. Maybe Miss Braids! I think that's a nice name~!" The shadow proceeded to speak, "so why are you wandering around here, Miss Braids? Are you lost~?"
no subject
"I'm here because I am. I'll be here until I'm somewhere else." There could be no lost when there was no destination, but figments had some difficulty grasping that around here. "Do people get lost here? That's all they ask."
no subject
"People being lost usually wander around, looking at things and places. I like to wander around too, so I guess I'm lost too! Being lost is fun, since you can pick up new fun things to do."
He floated around as he spoke, and stopped in front of her. "Do you like fun things?"
no subject
He made it sound like she was lost, but also as if that weren't bad. It made it harder to discern just how annoyed she should be. His getting in her path certainly added to it, at least.
"I like things." She could at least allow herself that much. "I don't know about fun."
no subject
It was strange, to hear someone speak as if they didn't know about fun.

That's how he almost buried an entire world with strange-looking jellies before. At least what he got out was being able to talk to other people during that whole fiasco.
"But if you don't like getting questions from me, then maybe you can ask me questions!"
no subject
"I know all about you already. You think if I ask you something, you can tell me things? I can figure it out myself! I won't let you be in charge." She jabbed a finger at the mark on the top of his gross gloopy head. "You're all made up of questions! I won't feed you! You don't need more! You'll get fat!"
Her blonde hair dissolved back into braids as she ballooned out, fat bulking out her gut and cheeks and thighs. "No one likes a fatty. You'll swallow up all the questions and everything will be a big fat shadow, with no answers, 'cause it's too dark to see."
no subject
"Me? Getting so fat that everyone can't see? I dunno if that should be fun or not! It wouldn't be fun for me, but maybe it'd be fun to see people run into each other!" Ecolo replied between laughs. "Getting so fat that I take up so much space would be the last thing ever. Usually I'm not supposed to even be seen by anyone anyways~!"
no subject
Her fat melted away with her anger.
"Maybe you consumed them already."
She started walking off again.
no subject
"But I don't eat things up like that~! That's not what I do anyways! I make things and people go into other worlds, not eat them myself~!"
no subject
She scuffed her shoes along the floor as she walked, knitting her fingers together behind her back.
"Unless you're a spaceship. I don't need more doors, but spaceships are okay."
