I'm not saying it was aliens, but it was aliens
Who: Melia, her entourage, and YOU!
What: There's a spaceship in the courtyard!?
Where: The courtyard!?
When: TODAY
Warnings: Feathers
Things had quieted down now that the haunted carnival was gone, and the campus was as back to normal as it could be. This, of course, meant it was the perfect time for a large, oddly-shaped vessel to cast a shadow across the school as it slowed to a halt above the courtyard, a gentle humming noise emanating from it as it hovered in the sky, blue flames shooting out of its engines.
The humming noise changed pitch as the ship descended and gently landed right in front of the fountain. The engines stopped, and for a few minutes there was nothing but an eerie silence. Finally, the round door at the base of the ship opened and out came... alien invaders!?
Well, if they were alien invaders, they had some really swanky armor. There were a lot of them, but instead of busting out the death rays and taking over the planet, they merely marched into two neat rows on each side of the door, and then a final figure emerged. Her appearance was softer than the heavily armored guards, and she was much shorter and less intimidating, but it was clear she was in charge here. As she walked with her head high to the end of the rows of dudes, she stopped and looked up at the main building before her.
"So this is the academy," She said aloud, to no one in particular. "What a magnificent establishment."
Clearly she was new here.

Shifted in his hawk form and perched in a tree at a safe distance, Ulki watched and listened cautiously. He couldn't be sure that this regal woman didn't have any ill intentions, though her demeanor seemed innocent and gentle enough. The hawk laguz took off and flew to land in Melia's line of sight, unshifting in a brilliant flash of light. He turned to face her.
"This is the academy, yes," he replied, even though he had been so far away from her mere moments ago. "Might I ask... who you are?"
no subject
"Oh, my!" Was all she could say at first. "That is very impressive sorcery on your part? Are you capable of channeling ether as well?"
If this man was some kind of High Entia, then he would have to be, right?
"Oh, but where are my manners?" She stammered once she realized she had ignored his question. She gave him a curtsy. "I am Melia Antiqua, crown princess of the High Entia and ambassador of the people of Bionis. I have come seeking knowledge and alliance with the people of this great city."

Still, it came as no surprise to him that she was of royalty. She looked it, for starters. Ulki shook off his confusion and continued his conversation as though he didn't hear her remark of sorcery - for now, at least.
"If it's alliance you seek... why did you choose to arrive at the academy over the city itself?" he asked. It was possible she wanted to join the academy somehow, but he didn't want to jump to conclusions.

"I seek to enroll in this fine establishment as a student." Melia nodded as she explained. "As one of my duties as ambassador, I am to learn of your culture and history. Might I ask whom I have the pleasure of speaking with?"
no subject
"I'm Ulki. I work here as disciplinary staff." Then, as though to clarify, he added, "I come from Phoenicis, a country far from here. I've been here only for a few years."
