[open] WATER YOU DOING
Who: Hilda and YOU
What: Some doofus just popped out of the lake.
Where: The lake, maybe the bit of the forest right next to it
When: Starting around 10 AM Tuesday morning (Oct. 23) until ?????
Warning: Extreme stupid.
Something bubbled ominously in the lake. It was the sort of ominous bubbling that usually meant a giant monster was going to emerge from the water and make everyone pee their pants, but minutes passed and no monster was jumping out of the lake.
As time went on that something in the middle of the lake bubbled more and more, UNTIL SUDDENLY... It stopped. Ten seconds passed before the Gyarados living in the lake leapt through the air with a MIGHTY ROAR as it furiously shook something off of its back, and then disappeared back into the depths of the water. That something was human-shaped and flying through the air. It took a second for it to start screaming like a terrified little girl as it cascaded through the air, and then landed right in the shallow end of the lake with a glorious SPLASH.
"What the--" She whipped around so fast that her ponytail whacked her in the face, "Ow-- Hey! Where'd you... Ya still there?" Another Pokemon suddenly emerged from the murky waters; upon its appearance the girl forgot all about careening through the air and landing on her butt as she swam-ran over to it and then put her arm around it like she was greeting an old chum. "H-heh... That coulda went better, huh? You earned some rest."
She returned the Pokemon to its ball and waded back through to the shallow end of the lake. Instead of leaving, though, she plopped down onto the muddy ground and stared excitedly at the water, wiping some mud off of the thing on her wrist before she fiddled around with it. If you would rather not approach the drippy girl covered in mud she will be poking around in the forest in an hour or so, considerably less drippy.

Oooookay.
"Dude this is messed up," he said to no one in particular. But the days were getting colder, and he walked over to her, taking off his own coat and offer it to her.
"You okay?" And then, carefully. "...any reason why'd you came out of the lake? You a mermaid of somethin?"
no subject
But then the Gyarados happened.
Along with that, that girl happened.
Wait... was it a girl? Hilbert--?
No, that was definitely a girl. Never mind. He rushed right behind Eikichi, his mouth totally ajar. "Are you alright?!" Also, a mermaid? Silly Eikichi. Those are only in fairy tales. I mean, they are only in fairy tales, right? Maybe they really do exist!
Gasp.

When everything has calmed down she emerges from it, looking like a drowned rat, and walks towards Hilda
"What the heck are you doing?!"

Mac was a good guy and wanted to help badly.
Rocky however was weird about going so Mac said it was okay to wait for him. Water doesn't do Bonslies any good.
"Hey, everythin' okay here?"

She could have sworn one of those people sounded familiar, but... "Hey, what region's this? They don't have those dudes back at home." She pulled something about the size of a cell phone out of her pocket and tried to scan the lake, but alas, all her Pokedex was giving her was data on the Carracosta. She finally stood and replaced the Pokedex in her gross muddy pocket, "I was Surfin' and tryin' to get home, but, uh..." She paused as she took off her hat and wrung the water out of it, "This don't look like Unova."

let's say some point during forest wandering time
Perhaps the answer could be found if this trail was followed... all of... twenty or so feet. At the end of the possibly-supernatural ash trail lay... a Magcargo. About three feet ahead of it, a frisbee was lying on the ground. Said Magcargo was intently inching toward the frisbee about as swiftly as could be expected.
And, oh. A few feet over yonder, there was some pigtailed chick sitting in a lawn chair, staring at this snail in eager anticipation. Cool.

Hilda wasn't exactly snooping around the forest, she was... Yeah, okay, she was snooping around. Gotta see what's lurking in it before it gets dark, and stuff. She followed the trail of scorched earth in hopes that it would lead to something cool, like an alien or a monster or something, and while most people would be disappointed by just a Magcargo she was not.
She sat down in the ash and watched as it crept towards... A frisbee? Girl in a lawn chair? As with any new unknown creature (everyone always focuses on the super-rare Pokemon, nobody ever talks about snails) she whipped out her Pokedex to figure out what the heck it was. "Maga-what...? Uh... Hi! This guy your Pokemon?"
no subject
Leave the talking to Lyra, then. She sat up in her lawn chair, looking proud as all get-out. "Yep! Maz is my Magcargo. We were just playing fetch, so..." She scoped out Mystery Girl for a second, her curiosity suddenly piqued. Going to ask the obvious questions, Lyra? Who is this? What is she doing in the middle of the forest?
"Hey, is that a Pokedex...?"
Well, I guess that's important too.
no subject
"Oh, this?" She held it up for emphasis, grinning proudly. "Yup!"
So if she knew what a Pokedex was... And she was playing fetch with a Pokemon... "You a Pokemon trainer? Where from? I've never seen one'a these before."

Out in the forest
And so he did.
There was a speedy yellow dog sprinting through the woods for no reason.

This time Hilda could get a good look at it.
A POKEMON INDEED.
no subject
Well, what the heck? She had her running shoes on. Clearly this Pokemon was chasing something cool, so she ran off after it.

Maybe she will wander towards the direction of the lake to appease her inner inkling of homesickness.

It had to be one of those Pokemon!
She approached it cautiously...

Hilda turned around and stared. A bird? ...A BIRD POKEMON...?
She slowly crept toward this NEW SPECIES.

She paused and jumped like she had forgotten something important. "Hey! Where is this?"
no subject
"Well that's a relief. This is Smash Academy in Final Destination City. You a new student?"
no subject
Well that was slightly less exciting than she was expecting. "Uh... Never heard of it."

She'd been out in the woods, playing with magic, but the flying girl had interrupted that. So did the dragon. Manah didn't particularly care for most dragons. But no worries.
It took some time before Manah could find the girl in the forest. "Are you the flying girl?"
no subject
Manah was not a woodland creature, so she jumped at the sudden question but stood up to say hello regardless. "Flyin' girl? Uh... --Oh! I guess so, but I can't fly."
no subject
"That was quite a leap you took then."
no subject
"Hey, so... You been at this crazy school place for long?"
