The road's end in sight
Who: Pit and anyone
What: Pit is departing for Skyworld today.
Where: Out and about on campus, and ending at the courtyard at approximately 5:00 pm.
When: June 9th
Today was the day he would finally leave the academy.
It felt surreal walking around with his room bare and his stuff packed away. Summer break was nigh and so many of the hallways he ventured past were empty. The occasional solitude of vacant rooms completed the feeling somehow, that his present self was being cleansed of a recent past.
Pit hoped to say parting words with his friends and favorite teachers before he was pulled up into the skies, and what better way than to cross paths with them while roaming the schoolgrounds one last time?
((OOC: Feel free to have your character(s) run into him wherever! If it's at the school, chances are he'll be there at least onceexcept the girl's bathrooms he's not a PERVERT or anything GOD))

Bulba's first job as new girl's RA was to kick Pit out of the girls' bathroom. Pit what were you doing GODActually, no, Bulba was backtracking out of his room with a careful armful of potted plants. Luckily he had already been mostly packed up since graduation to move out of his current dorm, he just hadn't known where exactly he was going to be moving the small amount of stuff that he had. But now he did! So this was what he was doing, moving some of his more stationary friends out of the room to take them downstairs.

"Bulba! Hey, where are you going with those plants? To the greenhouse?" He sidled up beside him and inspected the pots.
no subject
"Not this time. I'm moving these ladies," he spoke as he nodded towards the aloe and spider plants, "down to my new room."
no subject
"Oh! You're moving? Why?" Then he felt stupid and smacked himself in the face. "Duh! You graduated! And now you're gonna be an RA. That's right."
He couldn't help but think about how he wouldn't be around to see how that went for Bulba.

This was the day. He was going to leave. One of his dearest friends-no. Brother.
There are a lot of people Mac likes. Here even. But there are those who...well, they might as well be family.
Pit was his brother. And Mac was going to be a good brother and be there to see him off. With a smile.

"Hey there." Yet, the look on his face also made it obvious that he knew what would transpire today.
no subject
But he was really ready to tear up.
"Hey...today's a big day, yeah?"

It was really nice to feel Mac's big arm around his shoulders, though. He zapped over to thoughts about how it might be to remember that feeling when it was long gone and far off in the past. That made a simple show of friendliness more meaningful all of a sudden and the angel found himself inclining closer to Mac in hopes that it would stay there just a little longer.
"I'm pretty much set to go, so... There's not much left to be done. To tell you the truth, I'm kind of antsy about all this moving business. It's great to go home and all, and I was all kinds of excited at first, but then... You start looking backwards all the time."

Now, though? Those tears were wanting to come back in full force. She didn't know Pit that well -most certainly not as well as Mac-, but the fact it was a friend period? That made it hard. Pit was honestly one of the nicest people she'd ever met, and she'd miss him a lot.
Sigh. Well, time to buck up and put on a smile for Pit. And so she did as she located Pit, before speaking after a moment to collect her thoughts, "Hey Pit...Ya all packed and ready ta go, huh?"

Oh look, he's brought you a cake. A cake that says "Saiyonara, featherass" written on it.
There's almost certainly not a bomb inside of it.

For you see, Pit is a very unfortunate soul that is not blessed with the propensity to read. Any times he had done so before were due to the mystical powers of the retcon gods, but as far as Pit sees this gesture, Bowser made him a nice cake. And boy does Pit love cake.
"You baked a cake? For me?" He pointed at himself, a dumbstruck look stuck on his face.

"You didn't think you were leaving without saying goodbye, did you?"
no subject
"It's been really great knowing you, Daisy... You're a lot of fun, you know that?"

He hated that he missed people when they left. Bark, Roselia, Tubba, Rawk, Wave, Banjo and Kaz - each departure made him feel lonely in a way he couldn't quite explain and didn't want to admit to. The guy who'd grown up from day one without a family and who for the longest time protested that he didn't need anyone else? Where was that guiy when Knuckles needed him the most?
Nowhere to be found today.
He'd slipped on a simple T'shirt and jeans and walked from his apartment all the way into school. He saw the Angel across the quad and hesitated for a moment before giving a wave and yelling his name.
They'd been through a fair bit together, had so many fun times, and even if they hadn't seen so much of one another lately, Knuckles knew he could count on Pit. Whether it was in times of trouble or just to be there to lend that sunny smile and optimism to any given situation.
"Didn't think you were goin' back to Angel Land without saying goodbye, right?"
He said it with a smile. He owed it to Pit to bring his A-Game today - he didn't want the Angel's last memories of him to be morose or sad or any of that other weepy stuff. Leave that for someone else.

"I would never. Not on purpose, anyway." However he had been standing before he corrected to face Knuckles properly. All the friends he met were engraved in a sort of way the moment he saw them today, mostly by the frame of mind induced by the reminder that he would be leaving them for an indefinite amount of time, if not for good. His heart ached, but his smile shone.

But all the same, Jolt thought the least he could do, especially now that he had a human form, was say goodbye to his roomie. "Hey," he said as he approached.
no subject
Oh, it was Jolt. Pit had been trying to avoid him if at all possible, so he and Jolt didn't get much time to speak to one another. It's not like he was going to be his roommate for much longer, anyway. He'd really upset him that first day, and after thinking about it a little more, realized he may have said and done some insensitive things to him. But now Jolt was speaking to him, and he didn't seem unapproachable at all.
Pit rose a little more in position. "Yeah?"
no subject
"I, uh... I know we didn't get off on the right foot. Being as I couldn't talk, and you couldn't read. But, uh... I just wanted to say, nothing personal. And... I'm sorry."

"Lash!" he said, his own voice hushed despite the exclamation he made. "What's up?"
He knew deep inside that this exchange was going to be a little different than all the others he'd shared with her. This was supposed to be the one that ended them all. It was a funny feeling and didn't seem real.
