Leather, Lace and Bells and Drugs : An Adventure in the City [CLOSED]
Who: Ganondorf and Nabooru
What: What indeed.
Where: In the city
When: Feb. 8th
Warnings:Ganondorf and Nabooru.
Well considering what everyone else seemed to imply what this little excursion was going to be (to his greatest amusement), Ganondorf had not been on the same wavelength as everyone else. Amazingly. No really! This wasn't going to be a log about that type of leather collar. Just...a leather collar, lace, bells and drugs.
With a strange boyish glee fuelled by student and teacher's confusion and wondering if anyone would try to follow them (they'd get a quick punch to the stomach) along with face that most people would want to punch in, he knocked at Nabooru's door, waiting patently for her to come out so they might go onwards to this strange and no doubt eventful adventure.

Nabooru answered her door a few moments after he'd knocked. A hand settled onto her waist and she gestured with the free one. "Are you ready to go? You seem excited." Well, if 'excited' were really the word to use to describe her king, and she wasn't sure it was, but it'd have to do for the time being.

He had important things to do today. Let him have his peace.
"What bout yourself. Are you ready for this?"
no subject
Nabooru gave an idle shrug and she laughed. "Just wait until everyone figures out what we've really been talking about this entire time. Although there's something amusing about just letting them make their own guesses and throwing it in their faces when they're wrong."

When they got close, he politely opened the door for her, like a true gentleman.

But she didn't go far. Perhaps a foot past the door, she stopped and turned to wait for him. "You know, once upon a time, I think you would have thought the school commonplace. Do you remember a couple of years ago?"

She lifted a hand and tapped at her chin in thought. "And yet it's possible for us to take some of the things we've learned in this land and use them to make life easier for our young and for ourselves. Even if we do that, however, we should never forget our roots and how we came to be as we are. There is strength in every beat of our hearts and undeniable courage in each breath we take."

After which, his voice had a strange tingling and teasing tone as he raised a single eyebrow. "The bus schedule seems to be running late. Hmmm. I suppose there are other ways to arrive on time..." Yet the call was Nabooru's to do as she wished.

Nabooru looked over to her king and for many moments watched him. Then she gave him an uncharacteristically soft smile. "Are you that much in a hurry? I understand you enjoy... boaring around, but really."
no subject
Classy.
no subject
...Right?
She didn't want to give it too much thought, honestly. "...Well. I guess that is true. I think you're just lazy, honestly. What, do you find no appeal to me curling an arm around yours and walking together in the way that we can only here?"
no subject
"Perhaps you are right. There is a saying about how the journey is worth more than the destination. Perhaps now is such an example." So no boars. Thus it was decided. "Don't complain when we spend the next thirty minutes walking without end, mind you."
Now it was his turn to tease her again. After all, they both knew Gerudo could last hours in the desert.

And Ganondorf was at the very top of that list, it seemed. For he had been, first and foremost, hers. From their childhood and up to the present. Her... what, exactly? A question she couldn't answer, for it wasn't within her right to decide what he was or was not in her life. It would be a decision they'd need to make one day together.
If that day ever came...
"I haven no reason to complain, do I?"
no subject
Normal around her. Yes. That was the world. Normal. No need for the masks or the trickery. He could be himself. And that was a gift precious few got to see completely.
As they walked, he finally replied to her.
"Of course not. I believe we are both in good company and I doubt anyone would be foolish to challenge us in the streets." They might wear some fancy jewelery, but woe to the mugger that thought he could make a quick steal. He would be sorely surprised.
"The weather is surprisingly gentle for this time of year," he added, closing his hand over a small snowflake. "I won't need to worry that she'll get cold."

Her lips curled into a smile as she tipped her head to eye him fondly. To think that not so long ago they had been fighting. To think that in the not so distant past they had been on opposite sides. Tension sat between them every so often, but when they paid it no attention, it frequently faded away into nothing. Anxiety sat in her chest when she was with him, and on the tip of her tongue were the words she so terribly wanted to confide in him.
That she was the Sage of Spirit. That she would, with the aid of the Hero of Time, need to seal him away forever, if he could not change the error of his ways. That she wanted them to simply rule their people with the best intentions as King and Queen. But she couldn't say those things. Not when she believed that all of the hard work in reconciliation would be for naught. No. Today was not the day when she would tell him everything. And not the day after either.
"The fire of your ambition and your determination is enough to melt even the iciest of lands, my king," she replied with a sly smile in his direction. And for as much as one could have accused her of inflating his ego, she did so with genuine words and sentiments.
