Drawing Class: Log 03

Who: Raikov and his students/lurkers
What: Drawing Class
Where: The Art room
When: July 7th, afternoon
Warnings: Probably a good amount of facepalming and lawls. Mild gay flirting as well.

"Since you guys have been doing rather well with your mannequin drawings, I figured we'll try a little challenge."

Raikov walked over to his sketch pad, displayed on an easel, and flipped open to a page with a few quick sketches.

"Gesture drawing. I'm going to make a little easier for you though and rather than drawing a live person, you'll continue to use the mannequins. I will pose this large one here..." He gestured to his desk, which had a much larger wooden mannequin on it than the ones he provided for the students, "And you'll have a certain time limit to finish sketching it."

"Get your papers and pencils ready and I will pose the mannequin. I'm giving you 15 seconds to finish each pose. Ready?"

Oh? Raikov was surprised by this. He clacked a stack of papers together, making them nice and straight. "Grading papers. Why?"

"just wondering if you'd also scored a hot date to celebrate Tanabata."

"Tanabata...?" He blinked.

"The Star Festival the lovely Miss Erika talked about in her journal. Ah~ It's so wonderful to meet somebody as well-versed in Japanese culture as she is!"

"Oh. That." There was a small hint of remorse in his eyes as he thought about the wish he had written but quickly covered it up by smirking at Miller.

"Who's this hot date you speak of?"

"She is, of course. We're going to fulfill the legend of the star crossed lovers." So he hoped, anyway. He also hoped Raikov was totally jealous.

"Of course, she's no paperwork, but..."

However, Raikov struck back at full force. "Of course not. I doubt she'd be willing to do ..." He paused to bring a finger up to his own lips, "...certain things for you like I do."

Certain things that were still pretty fresh in Miller's mind. But he would not lose this battle! "Half the fun is seeing just how far I can get on the first date."

"Mn." He grunted, his face blank and his attention returning to the papers. "Good luck then."

"Thanks. Have fun with your papers." He gave a salute and pranced away PRANCED AWAY.

PFFFFFF. Raikov tossed a pencil at the door after Miller left and shouted something in Russian. That didn't work how he wanted it to.

HEY LOOK.

Your mannequin appears to have grown legs and is walking away.

Its legs look suspiciously like a certain imp trying to sneak his way out of the classroom.

Skull Kid yelped and quickly hid the mannequin behind his back... poorly, because its arm was sticking out over his shoulder.

"Nothing!!" He blurted out.

"It looks like something to me... Show me what you've got behind your back."

"Uh... I, uh..." Skull Kid stalled for time. When in doubt, use a distraction!

"Look, an elephant!" He exclaimed and pointed to the other side of the room. Unfortunately, this caused him to lose his grip on the mannequin and it fell to the ground.

Raikov wasn't about to fall for that trick. He ran over and picked up the mannequin, glaring down at Skull Kid.

"Why were you taking this?"

Skull Kid gave him the best deer-in-headlights he could.

"I, uh, it followed me! No, wait, it was trying to escape and I was stopping it! Oh, wait, no, I've never seen it before in my life!"

And then he turned and ran.
